Why join?

Help make a difference at Emerson, whether it’s through a certain community, academics, student life, or something else: You can find a way to make the college better for all students. You’ll help start the dialogue between faculty, administrators, and other students about why your cause matters.

SENATORS

Senate activities can vary across each year. The Senate works to create initiatives to draft legislation. Each Senator represents either an academic department, graduating class, or a particular identity.

CLASS COUNCIL

All classes at Emerson are represented by a class council that serves as a separate entity from SGA. Class council presidents serve as voting members in General Assembly to help update and advocate for the interests of their respective classes.

GENERAL MEMBER

A great place to begin for first-year students in their first or second semester at the college. This is a low-time commitment position for those that want to be more involved on campus.

COMMITTEES

Find a way to serve students on campus through something you’re passionate about. There are many ways to make the change and start conversations all across campus.
